“So you are just like George Clooney in Up in the Air?” is my favorite response upon hearing about my career – traveling around the country, helping organizations maximize philanthropic revenue. “Kind of,” I reply, “At least in terms of efficient packing and a certain empathy when delivering bad news.”
I am a professional fundraising consultant to the performing arts, a pro taco progressive, and a skeptic who wants to believe. I have worked in the arts for 20+ years as a stagehand, lighting designer, volunteer, development staffer, CDO, and board member and I believe deeply in the philanthropy’s role in strengthening our world.
